In the 70's , René and Yvette Derhy created
a firm in order to make tunics with Indian partners .Embroidered,
with mirrors and shiny colours, the Indian cloth is a
non-violent symbol and represents the contrary of the
uniform.
It was woodstock time and hippies period , a peaceful
solution against cold and Vietnam wars denying all the
censors and conventions . During the 80's , the activity
is growing in a creative and dynamic fashion firm with
summer and winter collections and a knitted line.
The business is reaching the top during the 90's with
help of T.V advertising and the very well known " On ta
reconnu ...! René Derhy ".
Since the beginning , Derhy business has been built
around a very creative work with more than 4000 different
styles each year and about 10 to 30 stylists working for the
René Derhy style.
Some of them will create their own line and become famous
as Martine Sitbon or Claudie Pierlot.
Each style from René Derhy is manufactured in few samples
and each cloth has his own personnality.
The René Derhy catalogue is more a general idea of different
trends than a product list. |

Recently a kids division has been added, aimed at
young girls and young ladies this activity is getting very successful !
